Organic and Permaculture Gardening
We garden organically at Petworth Community Garden and follow permaculture principles throughout the garden; these are very well suited to the particular needs of community gardening.
How is community gardening different?
A community garden is different from a home garden in a few significant ways.
Organic and permaculture principles and techniques
An organic garden works with nature and natural cycles and has a healthy and robust diverse ecosystem that is in balance and therefore is able to look after itself better with less outside intervention.
