Instructions
- Sweat the onion and celery in the butter until soft, not brown (about 10 mins.).
- Remove from heat, add apples, chestnuts, sage, lemon zest, breadcrumbs and egg.
- Season very well, mix thoroughly and leave to cool.
- Spread the chestnut stuffing mix into the centre of a sheet of foil and roll tightly into a log using the foil. Secure the ends by twisting the foil.
- Bake in a preheated oven 180°C for about 20 minutes.
- Allow to cool slightly before slicing.
